2007 TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
LEARN HOW TO TEACH YOGA FROM 20+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
SUPPORTED YOGA THERAPY TRAINING COURSE
Supportive Yoga Therapy™ is a gentle yet powerful way to restore overall health and well-being. This level of practice includes a series of poses each fully supported by props, unlike restorative yoga, which can be practiced without the support of props. Props may consist of bolsters, blankets, chairs, belts....which makes the Iyengar tradition unique.
The intention of a supportive yoga therapy practice is to induce a deep state of relaxation and promote selfinquirythrough mindful observation. This is achieved by calming the central nervous system, bringing harmony to the body/mind, and gently stretching and toning the muscles and organs of the body. It is not uncommon for a student to be profoundly affected by this practice; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
This practice and training is ideal for yoga teachers in training, body workers and therapists that use theb odies wisdom to uncover and explore awareness and insight.
